Permits

The Athletics Centre is available to permit holders and casual users for training on Monday to Friday from 4 pm – 9 pm with the exception of public holidays and major events. 

Athletics permits can be purchased as single entry, 6 or 12 month passes.

Permits can be purchased:

1. Through email by completing a training permit application(PDF, 322KB) form and emailing BISP.athletics@blacktown.nsw.gov.au

2. Calling the Sports Park on 02 9839 6591 or visiting the office within the BEST building between 9 am - 4 pm.

The Athletics Centre hosts athletics carnivals for Blacktown City and the broader community. Athletics Centre hire at the Sports Park enables access to a range of facilities including:

Athletics Track and Infield

  • MONDO synthetic track, designed and constructed to World Athletics specifications
  • 400m eight-lane track
  • 100m ten-lane front straight
  • 100m eight-lane back straight
  • Steeplechase facilities with water jump
  • 2 x javelin runways on infield
  • 4 x long jump/triple jump pits
  • High jump facilities
  • Dual multi directional pole vault runways
  • Track lighting to Australian training standards
  • 2 x shot put circle on infield
  • Turf Infield accommodating all rectangular sports

  • Covered grandstand seating for 1250 spectators

Terms and conditions

 

  • Blacktown International Sports Park Athletic Centre is a non-smoking venue
  • Management reserves the right to refuse entry
  • Anyone attempting to gain entry without authorisation will be prosecuted
  • Patrons are not permitted to bring glass objects or alcohol into the venue
  • Abusive, disruptive or offensive behaviour and language are not permitted
  • Persons causing a disturbance or refusing to comply with a directive from venue staff or security will be evicted from the venue
  • Persons entering the playing area without authorisation will be liable to prosecution
  • Children under the age of 10 years must be closely supervised by an adult (16 years and over)
  • Standing on seats is not permitted
  • Blacktown International Sports Park Athletic Centre accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen belongings.  Patrons are advised not to bring mobile phones, cameras or wallets to the venue or store valuables on seating
  • Cameras and mobile phones are not permitted in the change rooms
  • Drones and aerial photography involving the Athletic Centre are strictly prohibited.
  • For the safety of all patrons, the venue is under CCTV surveillance at all times
  • No pets or animals permitted in the venue, with the exception of guide dogs
  • Blacktown International Sports Park staff are only authorised to conduct tours of the venue
  • For track preservation and longevity, all athletes wearing spikes must use starting blocks in laned events up to and including 400m and the first runner of a relay. Masters athletes and Para athletes excluded.
